The skin is constantly exposed to sun and multiple environmental pollutants, causing a lot of degeneration. The face, being the most exposed part, bears the brunt of this. A number of dark spots, wrinkles, sagging, fine lines, etc. appear as a result of ageing and become very prominent on the face. Origin:
The body has millions of types of cells, but there are some known as stem cells which are totipotent the ability to transform into any type of cell (blood, bone, muscle, skin, etc.) These totipotent stem cells were used earlier in treating sports injuries to repair joints and ligaments.   6. After thorough mixing, this is then injected into specific areas on the face in multiple planes – usually three, from the innermost to the outermost layers of the skin
  7. The growth factors used for each of these layers also could differ. The second layer could have more of protein (collagen) as it helps in keeping the skin firm.
  8. The topmost layer could have more blood cells as it is involved in vascular supply
  9. After this, a final resurfacing is done to ensure the fine lines and superficial skin damage is repaired
  10. The face may also be sculpted in specific areas to correct additional features, like the jawline
  11. Fat deposit correction (some addition, some removal) may also be done.

We are now routinely seeing regenerative technologies emerge in a wide variety of medical and surgical specialties. Orthopedic surgery, the treatment and prevention of muscle, bone and joint ailments, is certainly on the regeneration cutting edge.

The knee is one of the largest joints in the human body. When healthy, it performs remarkably. When damaged, the cushion (cartilage) can have focal “potholes,” areas of damage called chondral defects, or it can have areas of wear and thinning of the cushion, which is arthritis

Damaged cushions (cartilage) not only cause inflammation in the joint but can grind on each other and because of a lack of shock absorption result in significant pressure and pain in the adjacent bones. Tennis_elbow (tendinitis of the elbow)-

You don’t have to play tennis to suffer this injury, inflamed and painful tendons located on the outer side of the elbow. It’s a repetitive use condition, so it makes sense that cases flare up when warm weather encourages more outdoor athletic activity.

Pitcher’s elbow-
Pitcher’s elbow involves the UCL or ulnar collateral ligament, which usually keeps our elbow stable as we perform overhead throwing movements. The term pitcher’s elbow is aptly named, as baseball players who pitch suffer from pitcher’s elbow in greater numbers than other people.

ACL tear or injury-
Landing the wrong way after a jump, or fast turns can lead to an ACL injury.
To help prevent an ACL injury, warm up before you start any type of vigorous physical activity. Working with a sports trainer can help you improve your technique and strengthen the muscles that stabilize your knee area. 

Ankle sprains & strains-

R-I-C-E (short for rest, ice, compression, and elevation) is the basic treatment for most types of sports injuries caused by irritated or damaged tendons and ligaments. This is a good first step to minimize pain and prevent further damage. Of course, follow up with your orthopedist or primary care doctor for a consult about rehabilitation and further treatment for serious injuries.

Remember that everything should be done in moderation, don’t overdo it or underdo it when it comes to being active. With that said, take your time to warm up, cool down, and wear the proper attire to avoid injury. If you become injured, there are a bevy of treatments available depending on the severity. From physical therapy and personal training to regenerative medicine treatments and even surgery, you can get fixed up and back on the field of play.

Shortening the Time to Return to Play (TTRTP) is a high priority for professional athletes but also for ordinary folks. Summer only lasts a few months! स्टेम सेल ऐसी कोशिकाएं होती हैं, जिनमें बॉडी के किसी भी ऑर्गन को सेल्स के रूप में विकसित करने की क्षमता मिलती है. साथ ही ये अन्य किसी भी प्रकार की कोशिकाओं में बदल सकती है. इन कोशिकाओं का स्वस्थ कोशिकाओं को विकसित करने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाता है. स्टेम सेल कोशिकाओं के खोज की आधारशीला वर्ष 1960 में कनाडा के दो वैज्ञानिकों अर्नस्ट. ए. मुकलॉक और जेम्स.ई.टिल ने रखी थी. इनके प्रयोग के बाद ही स्टेम सेल कोशिका के प्रयोग को बल मिला. स्टेम सेल को वैज्ञानिक प्रयोग के लिए स्नोत के आधार पर स्टेम सेल को भ्रूणीय, वयस्क तथा कॉर्डब्लड में बांटा जाता है. वयस्क स्टेम सेल कोशिकाओं का मनुष्य में सुरक्षित इस्तेमाल 30 वर्षो के लिए किया जा सकता है. अधिकांशत: स्टेम सेल कोशिकाएं भ्रूण से प्राप्त होती है. आइए इस लेख के माध्यम से हम स्टेम सेल क्या होता है? इस प्रश्न का उत्तर तलाशें.

स्टेम सेल क्या होता है?

अपने सरल रूप में स्टेम सेल ऐसे अविकसित सेल हैं जिनमें विकसित सेल के रूप में विशिष्टता अर्जित करने की क्षमता होती है. उदाहरण के तौर पर यदि हृदय की कोशिकाएं खराब हो गईं, तो इनकी मरम्मत स्टेम सेल द्वारा की जा सकती है. इसी प्रकार यदि आंख की कॉर्निया की कोशिकाएं खराब हो जायें, तो उन्हें भी स्टेम सेलओं द्वारा विकसित कर प्रत्यारोपित किया जा सकता है. इसी प्रकार मानव के लिए अत्यावश्यक तत्व विटामिन सी को बीमारियों के इलाज के उददेश्य से स्टेम सेल पैदा करने के लिए भी प्रयोग किया जा सकता है. अपने मूल सरल रूप में स्टेम सेल ऐसे अविकसित कोशिका हैं जिनमें विकसित कोशिका के रूप में विशिष्टता अर्जित करने की क्षमता होती है. क्लोनन के साथ जैव प्रौद्योगिकी ने एक और क्षेत्र को जन्म दिया है, जिसका नाम है कोशिका चिकित्सा. इसके अंतर्गत ऐसी कोशिकाओं का अध्ययन किया जाता है, जिसमें वृद्धि, विभाजन और विभेदन कर नए ऊतक बनाने की क्षमता हो. सर्वप्रथम रक्त बनाने वाले ऊतकों से इस चिकित्सा का विचार व प्रयोग शुरु हुआ था. अस्थि-मज्जा से प्राप्त ये कोशिकाएं, आजीवन शरीर में रक्त का उत्पादन करतीं हैं और कैंसर आदि रोगों में इनका प्रत्यारोपण कर पूरी रक्त प्रणाली को, पुनर्संचित किया जा सकता है. ऐसी कोशिकाओं को ही स्टेम सेल कहते हैं.

प्रक्रिया-
प्लूरिपोटेन्ट भ्रूणीय कोशिकाएं ब्लास्टोसिस्ट के आंतरिक पदार्थ रूप में उपजती हैं. स्टेम कोशिका प्लेसेंटा के सिवाय शरीर का कोई भी भाग बन सकती हैं. केवल मोरुला कोशिकाएं ही प्लेसेन्टा समेत कोई भी ऊतक बन पाने में सक्षम होती हैं, अतः टोटीपोटेन्ट कहलाती हैं. भ्रूण विकास के दौरान डिम्ब वह एक कोशिका है, जो पूरे जीव को बनाने की पूर्ण क्षमता रखती है. ये कोशिकाएं कई बार विभाजित होकर ऐसी कोशिकाएं बनातीं हैं, जो पूर्ण सक्षम होतीं हैं अर्थात विभाजित होने पर प्रत्येक कोशिका पूरा जीव बना सकती है. कुछ और विभाजनों के पश्चात ये कोशिकाएं, एक विशेष गोलाकार रचना बनातीं हैं, जिसे ब्लास्टोसिस्ट कहते हैं, परंतु इस अवस्था में पृथक की गईं कोशिकाएं, पूर्ण जीव विकसित करने में सक्षम नहीं होती हैं. अतः इन्हें अंशतः सक्षम कोशिका कहा जाता है. भीतरी कोशिकाएं कई बार विभाजित और विभेदित होकर विशेष कोशिकाएं बनातीं हैं, जो प्रत्येक ऊतक को पुनर्जीवित करने की क्षमता रखतीं हैं.

इन्हें बहु-सक्षम कोशिकाएं कहते हैं. ये कोशिकाएं प्रत्येक ऊतक में संरक्षित रहतीं हैं, तथा ऊतकों में कोशिका जनन तथा पुनः संरचना के लिए उपयोगी होती हैं. इनके स्थान पर आंशिक सक्षम कोशिकाएं भी प्रयोग की जा सकतीं हैं. इनका लाभ यह है कि किसी भी प्रकार के ऊतक विभेदन के लिए इन्हें प्रेरित किया जा सकता है, क्योंकि ये भ्रूण से प्राप्त की जातीं हैं, इसलिये इन्हें भ्रूणीय स्टेम कोशिका कहा जाता है. हृदय रोग तथा मधुमेह के निदान में, विभेदित कोशिकाओं का बड़ा महत्व है. तंत्रिका तंत्र के रोगों में भी विशेषतः तंत्रिकाओं का प्रत्यारोपण इनकी अवस्थाओं में सुधार लाने की क्षमता रखता है. क्षतिग्रस्त अंगों की मरम्मत भी इनसे की जा सकती है.

किन रोगों का निदान संभव-
स्टेम सेल थेरेपी के अंतर्गत विभिन्न रोगों के निदान के लिए स्तंभ कोशिका का प्रयोग किया जाता है. भारत में भी इसका इस्तेमाल होता है. इसकी मदद से कर्निया ट्रांसप्लांट, हृदयाघात के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त मांसपेशियों के उपचार में सफलता मिली है. अधिकांशत: रोग के उपचार में प्रयुक्त स्टेम सेल मरीज की ही कोशिका होती है. ऐसा इसलिए कि बाद में चिकित्सकीय असुविधा न हो. पार्किसन की बीमारी में भी इसका इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है. न्यूरोमस्कलर रोग, आर्थराइटिस, दिमागी चोट, डायबिटीज, डायस्ट्रोफी, एएलएस, पक्षाघात, अल्जाइमर जैसे रोगों के लिए स्टेम सेल उपचार को काफी प्रभावी माना जा रहा है.

रोगों का उपचार-
स्टेम सेल उपचार के अंतर्गत विभिन्न रोगों के निदान के लिए स्तंभ कोशिका का प्रयोग किया जाता है. भारत में भी इसका प्रयोग होने लगा है. इसकी सहायता से कॉर्निया प्रत्यारोपण में और हृदयाघात के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त मांसपेशियों के उपचार में सफलता मिली है. अधिकांशत: रोग के उपचार में प्रयुक्त स्टेम कोशिका रोगी की ही कोशिका होती है. ऐसा इसलिए किया जाता है कि बाद में चिकित्सकीय असुविधा न हो. पार्किसन रोग में भी इसका प्रयोग किया जा रहा है. न्यूरोमस्कलर रोग, आर्थराइटिस, मस्तिष्क चोट, मधुमेह, डायस्ट्रोफी, एएलएस, पक्षाघात, अल्जाइमर जैसे रोगों के लिए स्टेम सेल उपचार को काफी प्रभावी माना जा रहा है. प्रयोगशाला में बनाई गई स्टेम कोशिकाएँ निकट भविष्य में कई प्रकार के रक्त कैंसर का उपचार कर सकती हैं. इस प्रक्रिया द्वारा दांत का उपचार भी संभव है.

एक जापानी स्टेम कोशिका वैज्ञानिक युकियो नाकामुरा के अनुसार एप्लास्टिक एनीमिया यानि लाल रक्त कणिकाओं की कमी और थैलीसीमिया का स्टेम कोशिका तकनीक से उपचार संभव है. इस तकनीक में भ्रूणीय स्टेम कोशिकाओं का उपयोग नहीं होता, अतएव यह नैतिक विवादों से परे है. कैंसर-रोधी तत्वों के माध्यम से रक्त कैंसर कोशिकाओं को समाप्त करने के साथ सामान्य हीमेटोपायोटिक कोशिकाओं (एचएससी) को भी समाप्त कर दिया जाता है. एप्लास्टिक एनीमिया और थलेसेमिया मरीजों को बार-बार रक्त के घटकों की आवश्यकता रहती है, व सामान्यतया रोगी के समान रक्त समूह वाले दाता हर समय उपलब्ध होना मुश्किल होता है. इसलिये उनके दल ने ऐसी तकनीक विकसित की है, जिससे प्रयोगशाला में अन्य कोशिकाओं से लाल रक्त कणिकाओं का उत्पादन किया जा सकता है. इसे पशुओं में सुरक्षित और प्रभावी तरीके से साबित किया जा चुका है.

If money is not a problem than only go for cord blood banking of stem cells and contact your nearby retailer and you personally go and visit the premises to see how they store the samples and stem cells will only be required if your baby has some auto immune disease etc.
