Hello-
having prostatitis can impair the prostate gland's production of semen, which can affect a man's fertility. It best to switch to ayurveda and treat your prostate infection first rather wasting time in modern science.

Non bacterial prostatitis is curable in young males. Treatment for chronic bacterial prostatitis is aimed at curing the infection and preventing complications. Antibiotics are given for 6 to 12 weeks. Long-term antibiotic treatment may be needed if the infection returns. Infected prostate stones (prostatic calculi) can make the infection more difficult to cure.

Acute bacterial prostatitis is often caused by common strains of bacteria. The infection can start when bacteria in urine leak into your prostate. Antibiotics are used to treat the infection.
