He is having lazy eye since childhood causing Squint ,at the age 64 there is no way to restore his vision except straighten the eye by Squint Surgery which will also last for only 5-6 yrs & will regain it's previous position .

You can wait till he gets older and if his exo exceeds 50 percent of awake time then you can consider surgery. In the mean while you can continue exercises as prescribed. Thanks.

I think you are suffering from amblyopia in right eye causing it to deviate outwards. Diminition of vision without any pathology is known as amblyopia & in common language called lazy eye. Hi, it depends on how many muscles to be treated which again depends on amount of eye deviation. It takes approx 15 mins for one muscle surgery so a 4 muscle surgery will take an hour .regarding logistics, in our hospital usually one muscle surgery costs around 15000 and afterwards its 10,000/- per muscle in adults. For children GA charges are extra.

At age 19 yrs , there is no possibility of restoring binocular vision , you may try for orthoptics exercise where this department is available .

Divergent squint has developed because of very less Vision in right eye after retinal detachment surgery , there is possibility of developing Squint again after 5-6 yrs

Yes surgery can correct squint but for blind eye has a tendency to go outward. So after some years of squint correction it can again get back to original position.
