I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Snoring happens when you can't move air freely through your nose and throat during sleep. This makes the surrounding tissues vibrate, which produces the familiar snoring sound. People who snore often have too much throat and nasal tissue or “floppy” tissue that is more prone to vibrate. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. If you have suddenly begun to snore or have only just started to notice, it is likely to be due to a recent physical change in your mouth or throat. This could be caused by: putting on weight, especially around the neck. Jaw misalignment due to an injury. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Snoring once in a while isn't usually a serious problem. It's mostly a nuisance for your bed partner. But if you're a long-term snorer, you not only disrupt the sleep patterns of those close to you, you hurt your own sleep quality. Snoring can itself be a symptom of a health problem like obstructive sleep apnea. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Snoring can be caused by a number of factors, such as the anatomy of your mouth and sinuses, alcohol consumption, allergies, a cold, and your weight. When you doze off and progress from a light sleep to a deep sleep, the muscles in the roof of your mouth (soft palate), tongue and throat relax. Gargling is good. Water should be warm and add turmeric also. Take Tribhuwan kirti rasa and Laxmivilas rasa. Suck marichyadi vati. Instil Anu tel in both nostrils. Do for a week. Consult if necessary.

Occasionally I used to snore a lot and it would be very difficult for my partner. I am thinking of buying an anti snoring nose plug. Is it good to use this? Will there be any side effects?

I sometimes wake up at night gasping or difficulty breathing. I am a very loud snorer and it is very difficult for me to sleep straight. So I always ends up sleeping on my stomach. Also I sleep while keeping my mouth open and this causes a lot of drooling. What shall I do to cure this?

Snoring can be because of chronic nasal congestion deviated nasal septum, sleep deprivation (not getting enough sleep can lead to further throat relaxation), sleep position (snoring is typically most frequent and loudest when sleeping on the back as gravity's effect on the throat narrows the airway), obesity or your mouth anatomy (having a low, thick soft palate can narrow your airway), alcohol consumption. Treatment depends upon cause. Losing weight, avoiding alcohol close to bedtime, treating nasal congestion, avoiding sleep deprivation, avoiding sleeping on your back homeopathic treatment has very encouraging results.
