Hello, the test which can differentiate is called sleep study or polysomnography. This can be done both At home or at an hospital. The Hospital one has more parameters and is better but many patients have difficulty in sleeping at a hospital. The one done at home has less parameter but easily done.

Yes there is a test for sleep apnea. It is called polysomnography or sleep study. This test is done overnight when you are asleep. It will involve connecting certain wires and electrodes which will monitor your breathing pattern, oxygen level in blood, air flow, ECG and many more during sleep. Both these. Cpap and zolfrsh are habit forming and their effect reduces over time. Tryptomer is not entirely used for lack of sleep so, it is not an exact substitute.
Better for you if you inculcate the habit of natural sleep. The side effects of these medications are not kind and you must fine alternative methods.

Clear nasal passages. If you have a stuffy nose, rinse sinuses with saline before bed. Using a Neti pot, nasal decongestant, or nasal strips can also help you breathe more easily while sleeping. If you have allergies, reduce dust mites and pet dander in your bedroom or use an allergy medication.
Keep bedroom air moist. Dry air can irritate membranes in the nose and throat, so if swollen nasal tissues are the problem, a humidifier may help.
