Hello,
Boils most often happen where there is hair and rubbing. The face, neck, armpits, breasts, groin, and buttocks are common sites.
If you do have family history of diabetes, get your blood sugar (fasting & PP) tested as blood sugar can be the causative factor of recurrent boils.
You can sometimes care for a boil at home.
Do not squeeze, scratch, drain, or open the boil. Squeezing can push the infection deeper into the skin.
Gently wash the area with soap and water twice...more

Dear Lybrate user,
boils are red, pus-filled bumps that form under the skin. They’re often painful, and they grow larger until they are drained. Boils are caused by bacteria that infect and then inflame hair follicles. They can grow to the size of a baseball, and the area surrounding the skin can be red and painful, too. Boils most commonly appear on the face, neck, shoulders, armpits, and buttocks.
When it comes to removing the scar caused by boils, we mainly administer laser treatment ...more

A boil is caused by a bacterial skin infection. This skin abscess forms deep inside a hair follicle or oil gland. This pus may eventually form a central head near the surface of your skin. This head may drain on its own, spilling out of the surface of your skin. Let’s discuss your concern in detail so that we can provide the best possible medical plan.
