Dear lybrate-user, you have to tell more about your symptoms like is there any sneezing for how long has this problem been is there any particular kind of nasal discharge, for a diagnosis to be made and then the appropriate treatment.

Ent help required possibly: back in january I was suffering from stiffness behind my neck ,headache and heaviness in eyes. Along with it whenever I used to move my shoulders up or my neck sideways I used to feel some sort of oozing of liquid below the rear part of my ear through neck. Sometimes one nostril used to clog up. I took cheston cold & flu once and most of symptoms like stiffness went away overnight and subdued. However the symptoms like constantly dealing with snot everyday after waking up and randomly in day, the oozing sound behind ears on neck and shoulder movement and heaviness in head are still there and I think I have some issue with sinusitis.

Hello lybrate-user. Hope you are safe. To begin with, your symptoms are not the usual presentation of a chronic sinusitis case. You should get a ct pns (all views) and hrct temporal bone for the affected side of the ear to have an accurate diagnosis. With a proper consultation, we can manage you well with a medical or a surgical intervention as per your findings on the scans.

I can not breath due to sinus. I use otrivin nasal drops twice a day. What oral medicine should I take.

ENT Specialist, Jaipur
Otrivin should not be use for more days, it causes rebound congestion that is dangerous! proper medications to be started.

Otrivin nose drops are not recommended for longer duration you need to visit ent specialist in person so exact cause of obstruction is know accordingly can get treatment. In current covid situation you can have teleconsultation. Hope answer is helpful.

Hello lybrate-user. Hope you are safe. All of us have a physiological nasal cycle in which there are episodes of nasal obstruction 2-3 times a day and is considered as normal. But when this cycle is altered, one tends to have prolonged periods of nasal obstructions at odd times of the day. It could be due to a lot of reasons which can be best understood through a proper consultation. But one of them, could be a condition known as vasomotor rhinitis which needs proper diagnosis and management. As a radiological investigation, I would always suggest you to to for a ct scan in place of an x ray as it gives much more and finer anatomical details.

Dear Lybrate user as per your mentioned symptoms you are most probably suffering from allergic rhinitis. Use antiallergic when required. You can also do yoga (anulom vilom) to improve the ventilation of your sinuses and enhance immunity. Lifestyle modification is very important in reflux disease management increase fibres and decrease intake of spices from your diet. You may consult an ent specialist at Lybrate for detail evaluation and management.

Hello. It seems you are having a lot of acid reflux. It would be better to take combination of pantoprazole and domperidone. You can also add an antacid. It is important to follow dietary precautions when dealing with acid reflux. Avoid fried and spicy food. Cut down on tea and coffee. Drink plenty of water. And make sure to keep a 2 hour gap between your meal and lying down.

The first foremost important thing is ask your husband to relax, he is not sick, he need not get into depression, and this small disease will go away over time. Ask him to take good steam inhalation small meals in divided portions multiple times a day avoid all spicy, cold, oily and sour foods he needs to loose weight, walking for 15 mins and gradually increasing to -30 mins twice a day avoid carbohydrate rich foods avoid stress and take good antacids for 15 days until he gets over this reflux any issue please consult in private, and if possible post all previous reports and medications if any.
