I am afraid ,but have to say that pilonidal sinus needs definitive surgery and expertise to get cured. Antibiotics like augmentin may help temporarily to control the infection and give relief to some extent. However I strongly recommend you to visit a surgeon nearby and get it handled properly. Thanks.

Did your surgeon tell you that it is a pilonidal sinus?
If it is, then that is the course of the treatment. Initial course of antibiotics, then after the infection subsides, we have to do imaging studies with a mri to understand the course of the sinus and if there is an underlying abscess.
