Shoulder is a complex joint and need detailed evaluation and imaging to come to a diagnosis.
Xrays with different views will give some idea about bone pathology.
Usg can give lots of information about soft tissue and being dynamic study it will give lots of information.
Mri will show much more details to confirm the diagnosis.
Most importantly clinical examination will lead to a diagnosis and then can be confirmed by imaging.
