If it is associated with certain anxiousness then most probably it is due to anxiety. Monitor your saturation and if it is within normal limits, there is no need to worry. Start doing breathing exercises. While lying on bed make sure to change your positions.

Don't take any medicines. Just buy a spirometer and do breathing exercises on it. Spirometer is cheap and it will help you to regain your full breathing potential.

Look for any other comorbidities like hypertension or diabetes. Asthma or copd. Do not ever panic in any situations. Panic attacks also causes breathing problems. Above all I would say if you want you can get your covid test done just to be sure. Do some breathing exercises for better lung compliance.

I cannot take deep breathes. Cannot hold breathes for long time. When I get in any argument or when someone shouts my breathing gets faster. Sometimes I can feel my heart beating fast. What medical condition I am suffering from? Os something wrong with lungs or heart?

Hello Lybrate user, please monitor your pulse for a week. If it is between 60-100 beats/minute, you need not worry. More than 100 beats/minute is known as tachycardia, and it can be physiological. If breathlessness is your primary concern and it happens while resting or doing simple activity, you can get a spirometry / pulmonary function test done.

You should get yourself examined by a physician. If the physician does not find any abnormality and if all the tests are normal, one should think of anxiety as a cause of your symptoms.
