I have got a hygiene clean and didn’t know she did a scaling and polishing on me. I regret going to that specific dentist and should have probably just used a better recommended mouthwash for the little tarter I had built up. She ruined my front bottom teeth because I had no gaps and the gum she cut it off because it was pointy and attached to my teeth in between but it’s all of a sudden and half the amount after I left the appointment. I’m so shocked and it’s kn two places that she did and one worse than the other. I’m 100 percent sure my gum was not was it receding in anyway. Please if you can explain what happened and what did and if my gum will grow or get better. It was done on monday and it’s been thee days I don’t see an improvement and I feel like it’s getting worse. Please help me and what I can do to fix this too.

Always remember
scaling and polishing will never create gaps in the teeth.
Scaling and polishing will never cut the gums.
There is a reason why
1. The instrument that is used to do scaling is a vibrating machine, it vibrates at 120000 rpm i.e speed and some even more. So a vibrating instrument will only vibrate the calculus which you call tartar, and thus the calculus get removed.
2. The instrument that is used to do scaling has no cutting surface, so in no way it can cut gum...more

Hello Lybrater user. Sensitivity problem is normal.
Use senso dent tooth paste or related tooth paste. Apply the paste on the gums and leave it for five minutes and then brush your teeth normally. Avoid hot and cold foods. The sensitivity will subside. Do scaling once. The sensitivity will be cured. Regarding the missing teeth, teeth has to be replaced either with removal or fixed teeth. Because the adjacent teeth to missing teeth will drift mesialy and cause bone loss and periodontal proble...more

Hii lybrate-user its better to avoid braces in loose tooth as it may get worst during the orthodontic treatment. Visit your dentist first you fix your loose teeth than you can go for ortho treatment after around 3 months. Thank you .wish you speedy recovery!

If there are overlapped teeth in front it can have a space discrepancy in the arch which has to be corrected by braces which you can avail at any dental college & hospital nearby whether govt or private (college) you may get treatment at affordable expenses. Other options are with removable appliances which usually are plate like and to be worn for a long time but the results are quite variable depending on the case. Kindly consult a govt hospital or a dental college nearby.

Plaque is not removed regularly by tooth brushing and flossing, it hardens to create calculus (also known as tartar). Calculus cannot be removed with a toothbrush; only a dental professional can remove it during an oral cleaning.
There are certain mineral combos those are used for cleaning teeth effectively but can not clean to the extent of removing thick tartar or stone.

hello lybrate user...
I advice you to take gradually reduce the pan masala and tobacco..
I Suggest you to do scaling..
then brush twice a day..
use dental floss.
use mouth wash..

after scaling, the calculus and mild stains will be removed..
if the stains wasn't removed means, bleaching has to be done..
the sensitivity will go after scaling..

regarding tooth paste, you can use sensodent... or other related tooth pastes..

Hello Lybrate user. The crooked teeth can be treated with orthodontic braces. The orthodontic treatment takes up to 1 to 2 years for complete cure. The cost of braces ranges from 16k to 25k.
The trimming of teeth more will cause sensitivity. Even after trimming due to malocclusions, the teeth come to previous position. I advice you not to become stressed and consult a general physician regarding the anxiety you have. Consult me for further details. Thank you.
