Sir, mera Rubella IgG 15.90 hai, aur Rubella IgM 10.0, Cytomegalovirus, IgG 142.00, Cytomegalovirus, IgM 6.55, Herpes simplex virus 1+2, IgG 21.00, Herpes simplex virus 1+2, IgM 2.30 hai please answer me. Is everything ok or not.

Hi Lybrate-user your all 3 report are positive. You recently been infected with rubella virus, as well as herpes simplex virus and cytomegalovirus virus. Because antigens of each virus is present in your blood. Now the main question is what is your health status right now. Which kind of symptoms you are suffering from right now. You need to visit doctor who advised all these reports. If you are pregnant than go as soon as possible.

My wife is 25 year and had rubella vaccine 4 months earlier. We are planning to have a baby now. We have done a blood test for rubella IGG & IMG, 90 and 120 days after the vaccination. Report shows IGG-76.50 & IGM-95.40 (after 90 days of vaccination) and IGG-88.90 & IGM-95.60 (after 120 days of vaccination). Both IGG & IGM is showing reactive. She is not having any symptoms of rubella infection then why IGM is coming high and reactive? IGG might be reactivate because of immunization. What is the significance of the report as we are bit confused and can we try for pregnancy now? We need our baby now. Is it safe to plan now?

It is possible to have high igM levels after vaccination. If her IgM was negative before vaccination ignore it and start try for pregnancy. If you don't know the status before vaccination then to differentiate between primary rubella infection and vaccination you need another test for IgG avidity.

Dear Sir, I am aged-45, Female, Weight-29 kg, from Bangladesh. I am suffering from MCTD Disease from 1999. At present I am under supervision of two doctors: One doctor is from Kolkata India, Dr. Asim Kumar Pal, MD, FICA (USA), MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin), FRCP (London). Peerless Hospital & B.K.Roy Research Center Kolkata India, Since 1999 every year 3 times, and another doctor is from Bangladesh Professor Dr. Syed Atiqul Haq MBBS, FRCP, FCPS, MD, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, Since 2006 every year 3 times. I am taking medicine methotrexate weekly since 1999 but last two years I am not taking this medicine. I also take Nidipin SR. Apart from these two medicine. I take some other medicine for short period of time recommended by my doctors. I also took steroid (Prednisone) medicine for last 9 years but not regularly. I took this medicine once in every four/six month. As a side effect of this medicine my femoral head’s blood supply stops and doctor suggested me for surgery. I did this in Apollo hospitals, Delhi. In every three months I do some diagnostic test (TC, DC ESR, AST, SGOT, Urine R/A, Chest X ray PA view, etc ….)all the reports are normal. At Present my problem are: •I can’t eat anything normally. If I try to eat it cramp in my stomach and starts beating. •Fever at least ¾ time in every month. •Whole body pain.\ •I Can’t grip my hand. •I Can’t seat alone on the floor for last 5 years. •Gastro problem. •Always cough Can I have treatment in your hospital? I request your suggestion.

no it seems like a rhumatological problem. you are in good hands. please follow the medications prescribed by yout doctors. also discuss with doctors if newer biologicals can be used.

It means you are not immune to it
So avoid pregnancy for three months and get urself vaccinated for rubella.

"2 months back I had my miscarriage. Doctor advised me for TORCH group test. Everything was ok in the test. For rubella it was IGg +ve. One doctor advice me for rubella vaccine, and I took the vaccine. When I met other 2 doctors they told me that for IGG +ve there was no need to take vaccine. Please tell me when can I go for trying pregnancy? How many months I have to wait for trying pregnancy? This was my question which was answered by Dr. Upasna Setia. I thank Dr. Upasna Setia for answering. I need little more clarification. From internet videos I came to know that after taking rubella vaccine, I must wait for at least 6 month for trying pregnancy. Otherwise my child will be affected with Rubella. Is it true Madam? Please clarify.

Rubella is a live vaccination. Pregnancy should be avoided for 6 months after taking it. However in your case vaccination was not required. As rubella is a viral infection and IgG denotes chronic or old Infection. You should take Tab Biopreg F 1BD for 3mths.

Hello doctor. I was on fertility drugs. This month I got a positive Home test on the 3rd day after missed period. I had given a blood test in which rubella igg and igm are non reactive. I asked my doctor she told it is normal. But when google I came to know the effects it had on baby am really scared please help me with your suggestions. Rubella igg is 0.2 and igm is 0.16. Before 6 months also I have had a blood test the value was same. My doctor didn't suggested me for vaccination. Am really scared what to do now. Please help.

If the test is negative then why are you worrying. Negative means you don't have rubella.
So don't worry. Instead be happy and stay healthy.

Hello Doctor, I am 30 years old. I had a missed abortion on 03.10.2017 when I was 3 months pregnant,(first pregnancy) then I did a torch test on 27.10.2017 which resulted toxoplasma igG 35.2, toxoplasma igA 0.48, toxoplasma igM 0.37, Rubella IgG 73.6, Rubella igA 0.56, Rubella igM 0.41, Cytomegalovirus igG 9.48, Cytomegalovirus igA 0.45, Cytomegalovirus igM 0.30, Herpes simplex (1+2) IgG 8.41, Herpes Simplex (1+2) IgA 0.52, Herpes Simplex (1+2) igM 0.39. Then my doctor advised me to take medicines like Valtoval 500 and Rovamycin forte. Recently on 23.04.2018 I did the same test which resulted toxoplasma igG 9.26, toxoplasma igA 0.45, toxoplasma igM 0.34, Rubella IgG 104.3, Rubella IgA 0.25 Rubella IgM 0.16, Cytomegalovirus igG 6.74, Cytomegalovirus igA 0.50, Cytomegalovirus igM 0.38, Herpes simplex (i) IgG 5.28, Herpes simplex (ii) IgG 0.53, Herpes simplex (i & ii) igA 0.58, Herpes simplex (i) IgM 0.42, Herpes simplex (ii) IgM 0.39. Is there any risk for future pregnancy? I am worried. Please suggest me what to do next.

Your report shows that you had been having toxo, rubella, cytomegala and herpes, all positive, which may be the cause for your missed abortion but IgM and IgA for all these infections is negative which means there is no infections at present so in this situation there should be no problem with pregnancy.

Hello I am 30 years old. I have conceived two times but both pregnancies ended with a miscarriage. First time there was no heartbeat in first ultrasound and the embryo growth was 6 weeks. This time I had mo symptoms of miscarriage. It was a silent abortion. The doctor did not suggest any test. Bur we did torch and it was normal. I had my first miscarriage in august 2017 and after few months I again conceived in march 2018 but this time also in first tvs there was no fetal pole only sac was there. Second pregnancy also ended with a miscarriage. This time I started bleeding and lower abdominal severe pain. Now the doctor will take few tests as rubella after 6 weeks. What should I do now? My periods are regular and I have done tsh and torch test after my first miscarriage and it was all normal. Now I am going to have rubella vaccination.

Don't worry, most of the times we don't find any cause for the symptoms. Just be patient, relaxed and get the vaccine and try for a pregnancy again. Hopefully this time everything will be OK.

Health Query

Gone through Iud last year of 8 month baby girl and than Dr. gave a rubella vaccination igg activated three months after. Few days ago 6 weeks missed miscarriage happened now in torch profile its showing Serum Rubella IgM positive. ** Should I take MMR vaccine again? Or any other solution?

No need for MMR vaccination .rubella is a viral infection, no need for any treatment .repeat your rubella igm after 3 months .do not conceive till rubella igm becomes negative.
