My sister's son 4 years old drank 20 ml himalaya hand sanitizer advance on 27 september 2020. Today he is telling that I drank sanitizer. What to do doctor. Please suggest. He has no symptoms. Is it serious.

Health Query

Some guy scraped me with his nails. It didn't bleed at all. 40 mins later I washed my hands and used hand sanitizer on it. It didn't sting with hand sanitizer, but it did a little with hot water. 8 hours later, I touched a bleeding cut. I didn't see any visible blood on his nails, but they were super long and this guy gets bloody noses a lot. Can I get hep c any of this?

Usually nail scrap does not transmit any infection unless it dugs deep. If infection is present antibiotic is usually prescribed. Otherwise just clean it with soap and water and apply an antiseptic cream on it.

Hi all, a generic question out of curiosity - what should be done if few drops of hand sanitizer is used and we accidentally touch the lips or mouth? How long it can take to show symptoms if it is ingested? When to see a doctor. The sanitizer has ingredients: isopropyl alcohol, carbopol 940, glycerine, triethanolamine phencary ethanol, perfume & dm water. Can we take food after using hand sanitizer.

I am 26 year old female, I accidentally drink 1big tablespoon ethanol based hand sanitizer 70℅ alcohol (3m avagard hand sanitizer) by mistake, two day before, after drinking no vomiting, only nausea, bciz then I continually drink 2 liter water, and I not to take any medicine, but today I feel laziness and heartburn so what I do, any big problem.

Under no circumstances should any hand sanitizer product—whether ethanol, isopropanol, methanol or any other type of alcohol—ever be ingested.
If ingested 2 days back, just try to detoxify your body by using water /castor oil.

My husband went to the market and he is double vaccinated and he went with mask but no gloves or sanitizer. He bought groceries and vegetables and plywood from the market and he came back home and my mother sprayed savlon disinfectant on his clothes and he removed his mask and he sat on the chair for almost 30 minutes to dry up and then went to take a shower. But the whole time he didn't sanitize his hand. While sitting he removed his specs also and wiped sweat from his brows with his arm sleeves. He claims that he never touched his mouth or nose. My concern is my 11 year old kid who is not vaccinated. Please advice what to do. If a person is double vaccinated with covishield vaccine can he spread disease. Please advice.

Even when someone is vaccinated it doesnât mean he cannot spread virus he can thatâs y mask and sanitizers are mandatory. For the child I would say keep him safe by increasing his immunity and always wear your mask and encourage washing hands.

My mother is 63 years old. She suffers from diabetes, abnormal blood pressure and knee pain. She is taking medicines for all the problems and everything is in control. The knee pain is a big issue but she keeps on doing her daily household jobs which keeps her active. She has the following queries and asked me to know about it from a doctor. 1. If the uric acid increases, will a patient have to consume medicines for controlling it during lifetime (like medicines for diabetes) or it shall be stopped once uric acid is controlled. 2. If Hand Rub or Sanitizer is used in the market or train or bus, whether it is necessary to wash hands or one can even eat after using Hand Rub without washing hands. 3. My mother used Melipox Spray for skin repair after consulting some doctor. Its new bottle is not being used at present. Where can Melipox be used? Thanks & Regards.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
1) To reduce uric acid avoid organ meats, certain sea foods like sardines, salmons, herrings, shell fish etc.
2) Avoid alcohol as well as drink less caffeinated drinks.
3) Drink plenty of water. Citrus drinks are good (orange juice, lemonade)
4) Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Medications need to be taken as when required. Washing hands with hand sanitizers is NOT HEALTHY. Most of these products contain some form of alcohol o...more
