Hello doctors. My wife is 18 years old little fatty. Weight is 89 kg. Height is 6.4 ft. She is little lethargic and feel tired in a little work. And little problem of constipation. Her hemoglobin was low for last some years. She had orofer XT for last 6 months. And hemoglobin is now normal 12.9. Her father has diabetes. I am afraid that she will have this problem in future. Our local doctor has also said that she has 100% chance to get diabetes in future. We want to take a baby with in 1 year. So, I tested all blood test like, Rubella IgG serum result is 117. Rubella IgM serum result is <10. TSH result is 2.94. HBA1C result is 5.3. And all other tests like CBC, sugar fasting, lipid profile etc all are normal. Please help me what medications or prevention should I have to follow to cure this genetic problem growing in her body and as well as in our future baby's body? Please help.

Hello,
do not panic first
however, not all of your type 2 diabetes risk is genetic. Major risk factors for type 2 diabetes also include obesity and a sedentary lifestyle. Several gene mutations have been associated with type 2 diabetes risk. None of these genes cause diabetes on their own. Stay healthy.

1.5 month ago I had a missed abortion and I was conceived first time after trying from 5 yrs. Now my doctor asked me to do TORCH Test in which I have diagnosed with rubella and cmv IGg and IGm. Now my doctor told not to conceive at least for 3 months but I heard that this is most fertile period for me. I want to know that how important is this if I conceive then is there any chance of miscarriage and this virus again abort my child? Please advise.

Since your torch igg and igm are positive it shows infection, so if you conceive now there is possibility of miscarriage.
So first complete the medicine course for this and then conceive once infection is cured.

My wife has done a rubella igg and igm it has resulted to 1123 ui/ml and 0.312. Can you please suggest. She pregnant for approx 2 weeks. Thanks.

Hello, I got an pregnant in month of Dec 2015, I was in good regular check up, but in my teffa scan I have come to know that my baby's brain was not developed properly, due to tat I was terminate the fetus on April 2016, so present I'm using folic acid tabs, please clarify this folic acid tabs when should I take, I mean once get pregnancy confirm or later on, I don't think my doctor was good and rubella virus is positive, and my doctor ask me to visit after 3months, do you suggest me to change the doctor or should I see good gynec before I get conceive if there is any other problem. Please suggest me what to do. Pls.

Your doc seems perfect. Folic acid has to be taken 3 mon prior to conception to avoid neural tube defect in baby and rubella positive means you are protected against rubella. Which is good. Continue with your doc.

Sir. My wife had three miscarriages. Doctor told me my wife and I both had rubella igG. Positive. But it's not at all a problem. Recently I found prostate infection and I am taking treatment. My doubt is can this type of prostate or uti infection antibody may. Wrongly shown as rubella igG antibodies.

No its not possible that your uti related antibody be wrongly detected as anti rubella antibody. If there is rubella antigen only then it can be antirubella antibody. So don't worry both are completely different entity.

Rubela is not the reason for not conceing. It only means you had infection. Its effect on foetus is variable. If it is active infection then can lead to abortion.

Hi Doctor My wife is pregnant. Thanks a lot to God, she was quite scared about it. My wife had her last period starting from 6th March 2016 after that she had taken Rubella IGG vaccination on 23rd March 2016. She tested to be pregnant on 25th April 2016. Though doctor suggested that we should not connive within one month from taking vaccination [Rubella], we found out that mostly the pregnancy is due to an unprotected intercourse on 18th March 2016. We don’t know now what effect of the Rubella vaccination will incur on the baby. Kindly advise whether it is safe to have the baby in this circumstances. [Though our doctor said it is ok and there will be no consequences of the vaccination.] Our doctor also suggested initial Sono for her [my wife]. Here is the report: - SONOGRAPHY OF OBSTETRIC Real time ultrasound examination of the gravid uterus show presence of a single well defined intrauterine gestational sac. Foetal echoes and poles are seen. Foetal cardiac activity is seen. Yolk sac is seen. Good choriodecidual reaction is seen. There is no evidence of bleed. Internal os is closed. G. Sac measures 2.2 cm corresponds to 7 W 1 D. CRL measures 4 mm corresponds to 6 W 1 D. Evidence of few septation seen in G. Sac. Average is 6 W 1 D. EDD is 16.12. 2016 IMPRESSION: SINGLE LIVE INTRAUTERINE PREGNANCY OF 6 W 1 D. ADVICE: FOLLOW UP AFTER 10 DAYS. Kindly if possible let me know what above details means. We’ll see doctor shortly but before that I just want to have your opinion on this.

Pregnancy is to be avoided for 3 month after Rubella vaccination as studies have shown that there is higher chance of foetal abnormality. It is impossible to say with certainity that this baby will or will not have abnormality as some are functional and can not be diagnosed by Ultrasonography. If rubela igm is +ve wait for 3 months and repeat the test if igg is +ve then you are already immunised. So wait for 3months before conceiving.

My last period date is 17 Feb 2016 I am pregnant. But in sonography doctor says the baby's growth is not proper it's 10 mm 6 weeks. And I have 6 years old girl and 2 miscarriage happen. One terminated because my daughter was small and second got infection in 7 months rubella virus infection. And now I have bleeding problem also. If gestational sac diameter is less than 25 mm and if crl is visible and if crl is less than 7 mm and heartbeat is not visible, repeat ultrasound is needed after a week.
