Pcr pathogen tests rely on the detection of genetic material (dna or rna). A positive or negative pcr test result may correctly reflect the presence or absence of genetic material in the submitted sample but may not correctly reflect the infection status. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
The hiv rna test is deemed to be 100% conclusive if done after 10 to 12 days from the date of exposure. There are some theories that say this test becomes less accurate from about 3 months post exposure. This is because at 3 months post exposure, the body would have made antibodies to fight the hiv virus.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for yo...more

Father-in-law was unable to pass motion for a week. In the meantime, elder brother died who he is very close to. The next day after his death he starts behaving and talking in a very disoriented manner. Upon consultation by a gastroenterologist, he starts taking medicines but is still unable to pass motion for the next 2 days. Gastroenterologist advises to take him to a hospital for an enema. He starts passing some motion after the procedure. The next day he starts having continuous loose motions and becomes weak, unable to sit up and his legs start shaking. He is admitted to icu. His brain ct scans, chest ct scan and rt pcr is also done for covid. Covid test comes negative and his brain scan also does’t show any problems. Mild pneumonia is detected in lungs. Oxygen saturation is normal with cylinder support at around 96, sometimes without support also he can breath normally. It has been 5 days now since hospitalization but he is still disoriented and lung infection is there. Pls help.

The hiv dna pcr test & the test is very reliable for detecting hiv in someone recently exposed to the virus and will be highly accurate within 48 to 72 hours. An ultra-sensitive version of the rt-pcr test can detect as few as 50 copies/ml. The branched dna (bdna) assay also detects the amount of virus and has results comparable to rt-pcr.
Pcr viral load is the most sensitive test for detecting hiv infection in seroconversion, though greater sensitivity may be achieved when used in conjunctio...more

Hello sir, sad to know that you were covid positive but good to know that you are asymptomatic. It may take time for repeat test to turn negative.
If no symptoms, don't worry.
Continue to take precautions, medicines as advised by your treating doctor and
please get checked antibodies for covid19.
Thanks and regards.
