It depends on the stage of cataract and how much is your vision affected. If its difficult for you to see and cataract is very mature, then you should go for it within few weeks. If vision is not affected that much and cataract is immature, then you can wait for few months. So, you should get your stage of cataract evaluated and then can decide whether to wait or not.
