How many types of influenza virus are there, why we get suffer from cold mostly when season changes.
There are four types of influenza viruses: A, B, C and D. Human influenza A and B viruses cause seasonal epidemics of disease almost every winter. The emergence of a new and very different influenza A virus to infect people can cause an influenza pandemic. Influenza type C infections generally cause a mild respiratory illness and are not thought to cause epidemics. Influenza D viruses primarily affect cattle and are not known to infect or cause illness in people.

No, the zika virus is not contagious from person to person. Because it's not airborne or transmitted via physical contact, there's no risk of becoming infected with the virus from simply standing near an infected person. There has been one confirmed case of zika spread through sexual transmission.

Dear lybrate-user,
This test is not final. I simply indicates absence of "presence of virus" Negative results may only indicate that the person has been exposed but the infection has not yet developed. If you believe that you have been exposed you should repeat the test.
Regards.

Different hiv tests work by looking for three different things.
Proteins on the surface of the virus (antigens/ag) like protein 24 (called p24).
An immune response to the virus (antibodies/ab).
Genetic material from the virus (hiv rna or dna).
Antigen only (p24 tests). These are rarely used.
Antibody only tests (ab). These are rarely used because of the more recent availability of joint ag/ab tests.
Combined antibody-antigen tests. These are the most commonly recommended ...more
