Jai hind sir I am a defense aspirant sir I am so confused regarding my nasal and ear problems mostly my nose runs particularly in winter season so I have consulted to a ent doctor in indore after the treatment of a month he told me to diagnose pns below is my pns x-ray copy in that he found sinus in my right side of nose and minor dns and one another problem is I feel sound in my right ear. So I want to know from you according to defence standard that that is sinus can curable by treatment or surgery and my dns is negligible according to defence standard or not. Sir please help me.

I am 74+. Suffering from allergic rhinitis and occasionally having continuous sneezing. Running nose also starts. I am forced to take atarax 20 mg. But as I take the tablet 3 or 4 days no sneezing or running nose appears. Is it advisable to have such tablet with one interval every 3 or 4 days to remain ok. There is no cough or irritation. The local doctor has prescribed montelukast 10 mg once daily and I am also continuing like that. But occasional continuous sneezing & running nose does not stop until I take one atarax 20 mg at an interval of every 3 or 4 days. I have also htn and taking once daily amlopidine 5 mg with olmesartan medoxomil 40 mg and blood thinner ecosprin 75 daily as per advice of a cardiologist. I am also taking tamsulosin hydrochloride 0.4 mg daily as I have enlarged prostate. Will taking atarax 20 mg at an interval of every 3 or 4 days have bad health effect? What is the alternative?

I have problem of watery eyes with itching, continues sneezing and dry coughing. I have consulted with doctors three times. All of them told me I have allergy with pollution, use a mask and they gave me anti allergic medicines for a month. I had them as per prescription but problem is still there. While taking medicines sneezing and itching was in control but after finishing medicines of 2 days problem is back. He also suggested me to have anti allergy odimont-al always but till when I have to take this. Suggest me should I continue with this medicine?

It could be due to sinusitis and respiratory tract infection

take hot saline gargles atleast 5 - 6 times a day, it will help to clear the throat .
steam inhalation also helps to clear respiratory passages.
sprinkling eucalyptus oil on the clothes and pillows while sleeping will help.
elevating the upper body and head by propping up with 2 - 3 pillows at night will help to relieve post nasal drip which worsens dry cough.

I'm 27 year old, I played sports alot in school & college but now I do exercise a little. My body is prone to continuous hard sneezing, running nose & cold badly from long time as weather/atmosphere changes. Then suddenly more sweating on forehead & in hair even in cool weather (even when a.c/rain on) I went to doc many times they told me that you have allergic problem & will get over after a certain age. Some says you have immunity problem. I took medicine also but no relief. I mostly face these problems when like (1) take bath in evening (this happens also when I was in college. 4 years ago) (2) sudden different/hard smell (like food making in kitchen, after bringing out of cold clothes which are packed from more than 6 month etc (3) if come in contact with dust small particles while cleaning home especially. Not felt this problem at dusty road) (4) sometimes after waking up (may be bcz sudden temp change of body) (5) sometimes after masturbation. (6) working late at laptop leads to eye pain, water from eye & then running nose starts then cold & continuous hard sneezing. What problem do I have and how can I get ride of it?

I have tongue patches which couple of doctors from known hospital analyzed and said this is normal, these patches has increased over the period of last 1.5 yrs. There is no pain due to these patches. Then last 2 days I have high ear pain (could be that I went for few days of swimming) though it has subsided after taking ear drops (candibiotic) over the counter. Last few weeks my sneezing has been on increase and follow with running nose briefly. It keeps coming & going but today my nose upper portion has become very sensitive and sneezing keeps coming regularly with running nose. Question is why throat, ear & sneezing issues are coming all at one time? And why sneezing is increasing and becoming highly sensitive.

your symptoms are suggestive of allergic response to environmental changes. If mild cough and watery secretions from nose are improving with time. Then it may be no need for antibiotics for atleast now.
But if they persists then detailed evaluations may be required.

I am using flutiflo nasal spray as prescribed by doctor for couple of years. If I stop using it for two or three days I suffer severe sneezing and running nose. I use to sneeze continuously. Does it mean I should use this rest of my life? Are there any side effect for this spray. 28 years male.

No, I means that the circumstances around you (your environment) has not changed! I suggest you meet an allergist and work with the doctor to identify the allergens in your environment that are tormenting you. Those need to be eliminated.
