Hello, duchenne muscular dystrophy is x linked recessive disorder. Which means female can be carrier of the disease but remain unaffected from the disease & can pass on the disease to their son. Unfortunately there is no effective treatment for the condition. As far as diagnostic tests are concerned raised C kinase level in blood indicates Muscular dystrophy. Deficiency of dystrophy protein also indicates DMD. You can also go for muscle biopsy

Stop smoking if smoker. Avoid dust and envronmental pollusion.Get second opinion with resp. phy regarding diagnosis of COPD/ Rt destroyed lung.

By lung fibrosis you mean ipf, then no cure, can try pirfenax in dose of 1600-1800 in three divided doses under pulmonologist care.

If other lung is normal, and you are physically fit for operation, then left pneumonectomy can be done. As your age is 46 only, and you are repeatedly having lung infection, you should consult a thoracic surgeon in good center for lt pneumonectomy.
