Hello. doctor .for almost 6 months i'm under medication of serenace 0.25,pacitane 2 mg (half) and uvox 50 mg. As said pacitane is for keeping side effects from serenace .so what is the usage of serenace 0.25 mg?why should I have been prescribed for this med. Im really concerned !whether this type of medicines could be stopped ?as said by the doctor .it's just a low dose. Medicine.that's all .no proper diagnosis told yet!

May be olanzapine 10 mg. So which disease he has? And can he dangerous to others? And his wife's decision is right or wrong?

Hello,
your questions are more philosphical, obviously the husband has not disclosed his problem before matrimony. The main thing is that sulpitac is used for mental disorders like schizophrenia. But a better approach will be to visit the doctor with the wife who can explain all the details about her husband including the diagnosis, need for medication etc. In any case these disorders can be manged sucessfully and all details should now be atleast privy to the wife.

On 29th october 2021, diagnosis of schizophrenia is confirmed by a psychiatrist (3 times) with the help of psychologist and the psychiatrist prescribed me medicines for schizophrenia but I don’t want to opt for allopathic. And now I want to stop the treatment because I am feeling normal by doing daily yoga and consuming ayurveda herbs. Do I need to consult a doctor to stop ayurveda herbs or ayurveda medicines?

If you were diagnosed or suspected to have schizophrenia you have to ask the doctor before stopping the medicines.

For the treatment of schizophrenia, I will not go for homoeopathic medicines but through ayurveda. Do I need prescription for ayurveda herbs? We can instead read the label for dosage instructions. Yes, it is confirmed by a psychiatrist (3 times) that I am diagnosed with schizophrenia and the psychiatrist (member of indian psychiatric society) prescribed me sizopin 25 mg (1/2 or 1 at 7 pm) and amisulpride 100 mg (1 0 2) on 1st november 2021 but I don’t want to start these psychiatric/allopathic medicines for the treatment of schizophrenia and prefer to opt for ayurveda herbs. And there are some psychiatrists who are trained in ayurveda, so I can seek help from such person.

Yes, I am aware about my problem (even according to a psychiatrist also, I am suffering from schizoaffective disorder - but not medical diagnosis provided). I have to control it in a proper way. Medicines are not a perfect solution for mental health. I have to work on my own, through my own will-power and positive thoughts. I will not depend on the medicines and will not make it a habit for future. Yes, I started to take the psychiatric medicines on 2nd january 2021 and stopped it on 19th february 2021 by tapering as advised by psychiatrist. I was taking escitalopram and olanzapine for depression, anxiety, mild trichotillomania, bipolar 1 disorder (most recent episode), moderate cluster b traits, grandiose delusions, odd eccentric belief, premorbid rigidity, anhedonia, non pervasive low mood and mood swings. And in total I had undergone 27 counselling/psychotherapy sessions. Also I completed (in total) 8 weeks of computerized cognitive behavioural therapy. Also, my parents are aware of my problem (they got to know by my college principal) I feel that the thought of antidepressants increase serotonin is theoretical but it's side-effects are confirmed in the sense after stopping antidepressants/antipsychotic, relapse of mood disorder could occur in a severe way.

Hello,
I being a neurologist its difficult to comment on the problem you are facing. But my sincere advise will to get hold of a decent psychiatrist or a institute/medical college with a psychiatrist for proper treatment. You should not neglect it and these can be treated. At the moment you seem to be getting a cocktail of medicines and this needs to be relooked at for better treatment.
