Hi lybrate-user,
olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication used in illnesses like psychosis or schizophrenia. It is used in dose range of 5 to 30 mg per day. So, 15 mg per day can be considered a moderate dose.

It’s common to experience a change in mood occasionally or to go through a short period of feeling elated or blue. But if your behavior is unpredictable for a number of days or longer, it may be a sign of something more serious.
For example, you may:
be so excitable that you find yourself unable to control urges to spend money, confront people, or engage in other uncontrollable or risky behaviors
feel like you want to harm yourself or end your life
be unable to visit friends, get...more

Since you are feeling good with this prescription, you are advised to stay with this treatment. Homeopathy cannot treat severe mental disorders. Instead, I suggest you seek a counselor's help and work with that therapy in tandem with the medication. As you improve over time you can consider modifying the drug. In counseling, you will learn skills, techniques, and tools to handle schizophrenia and its complications. This can equip you for life. The emotional side of this condition particularly ne...more

Dear lybrate-user,
schizophrenia has both positive symptoms (hallucinations, delusions, disorganised thoughts) and negative symptoms (tiredness, lack of interest in any goal directed activity, lack of pleasure, restricted vocabulary, apathy, etc.) probably you would have become alright because of relief from positive symptoms. The negative symptoms also need treatment (amisulpride and aripiprazole). Please don't stop these medicines. Discuss with your psychiatrist. She/he may add an antidepr...more

Dear lybrate-user,
as I have already answered, schizophrenia needs long term maintenance dose of tablets. Relapses are worse to treat. You have not had any relapse since you were continuously on tablets. Your doctor is reducing the tablets, its dose and to less powerful tablets like aripiprazole. Let your doctor decide how long you will be on 15 mg. Since you don't have much side effect with aripiprazole, why don't you take it till the doctor decides the maintenance dose and tablet.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
People with drug-induced bipolar disorder have similar mood shifts and symptoms as people with bipolar disorder. The difference between the two is that people with drug-induced bipolar disorder tend to have their symptoms go away after 1 month of stopping drug use.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Why would you want to speculate on a hypothetical situation. Just visit your doctor but do tell him/her about your suicidal ideation. It appears that you are suffering from depression too. Today is the sixth of november and if you are reading this, you are alive! I recommend that you go for counseling to someone immediately. Suicidal tendencies only suggest that you are turning your anger inwards and it is leading to these ideas. You need to check on your prenatal history and early childhood for...more

Hi,
based on the information provided by you, it appears that you have a mood disorder, probably bipolar disorder. Trazine is probably not the right medicine for you. It's in your best interest if you consult a nearby psychiatrist in-person & discuss about starting mood stabiliser which would be most appropriate medicine for you if the diagnosis of bipolar disorder is confirmed by him/her.
