Psoriasis Treatment Questions

I'm suffering from mild psoriasis, it causes huge flakes, itching and hair fall. I use topsor 0.05% solution to keep it in control and ganozhi shampoo, but my hair loss is getting worse. Plus hair thinning and greying rate is high. My scalp is visible due to excessive hair fall and thinning. I have tried minoxidil in the past, but it isn't helping. Please suggest possible solutions.

Yes. U can do the following to ease the symptoms of psoriasis 1. Prevent dry skin use a humidifier to keep the air in your home or office moist. This can help prevent dry skin before it starts. Sensitive skin moisturizers are also great at keeping your skin supple and preventing plaques from forming. 2. Avoid fragrances most soaps and perfumes have dyes and other chemicals in them that may irritate your skin. They can make you smell great, but they also can inflame psoriasis. 3. Eat healthfully diet may play a role in managing psoriasis. Eliminating red meat and fatty snacks may help reduce flare-ups triggered by such foods. Cold water fish, seeds, nuts, and omega-3 fatty acids are known for their ability to reduce inflammation. 4. Soak your body hot water may be an irritant for your skin. However, a lukewarm bath can soothe the itching and infiltrate scales and plaques. Moisturize immediately after your bath for double benefits. 5. Reduce stress any chronic condition like psoriasis can be a source of stress. This can often turn into a vicious cycle because stress itself can worsen psoriasis symptoms. In addition to reducing stress whenever possible, consider incorporating stress-reducing practices such as yoga and meditation. 6. Avoid alcohol alcohol is a trigger for many people who have psoriasis. 7. Stop smoking avoid tobacco. Smoking may increase your risk of psoriasis. If you already have psoriasis, it can also make your symptoms more severe. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective for more details you can consult me.

I'm experiencing itchy scalp from months. It looks like scalp psoriasis on the back of my neck but i'm not sure what is it. There's a red and purplish patch which itches a lot and is increasing as I have peeled off the skin due to itching. It's also causing a lot of hair loss, more than 100 when I don't comb and an handful when I comb my hair. My hair were thick and now they have become too thin and rough. It feels rough when I apply anything on it. I've been applying aloe vera gel and coconut oil but its not making any difference. It has been more than 6 months now and the affected area has increased. The affected area is becoming red and removing hair from that area of the scalp. Please help.

It can be because of dermatitis/ eczema or allergy or dryness or fungal infection or psoaiasis etc. I need details of case n preferably pics of affected area. In the meanwhile follow this moisturize frequently. Avoid sudden changes in temperature or humidity. Avoid sweating or overheating. Reduce stress. Avoid scratchy materials, such as wool directly in contact with skin. Avoid harsh soaps, detergents, and solvents. Be aware of any foods that may cause an outbreak and avoid those foods. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective for more details you can consult me.

I am a 23 years old female. I have severe flakiness in my hairline. It is patchy only in certain areas. Its in my hairline. I do not think its a dandruff. I am developing severe flakiness, scales the next day after my hair wash. I am suffering from this for about 3 months. At first there was only one patch in my hairline. Now I have developed 4 patches in my hairline. And I have mild scales in my ears. Today I had scaling around my ears. I have changed several shampoos. I have used ketoconazole lotion. I am not responding to that. I think its scalp psoriasis.

Hello, Psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. Scalp psoriasis is a disease which should be treated in initial stages to prevent the disease to spread to other parts of body including joints and nails. On using various lotions and shampoos available in the market there is healing but disease reoccurs after some time. Curcumine (Haldi) is also helpful to prevent reoccurrence. For detailed queries like: 1. Causes of psoriasis frame. 2. Is it genetic or can it spread to next generation Psoriasis is such a detail subject that it can not be explained in few lines. There are many queries about differential diagnosis ,causes ,triggers, is it genetic, diet, curable etc.
