Mr. lybrate-user, Gout occurs because of deposition of uric acid crystals in and around the joint space. So there are drugs given which help excrete uric acid plus NSAIDs to control acute pain and inflammation. As a precaution following food s should be avoided: red meat, organ meat, certain sea foods like scallops, sardines, salmon, haddock, herring, mushrooms. Mussels and alcohol and sweetened aerated drinks. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user, please remember that doctors do not treat tests. They treat the patients. So first tell me what problems are you having. And why did you do the test? If you are not having any symptoms and still you have high uric acid levels, nothing needs Tobe done unless and until it is more than 12.5 mg/dl.
