In studies they have shown to reduce overall incidence of prostate cancer, although definitive evidence lacking. But they also lead to higher number of high risk tumors due to reduction in psa levels that may lead to avoidance of biopsy in earlier stage.

the three most common prostate problems are inflammation (prostatitis), enlarged prostate (bph, or benign prostatic hyperplasia), and prostate cancer. One change does not lead to another. For example, having prostatitis or an enlarged prostate does not increase your risk of prostate cancer.

As such there is no major side effects. Rapilif d is used when prostate size is more than 40 gms. There will be no problem. You can continue with rapilif only.

Hi lybrate-user. What was the gleason score on prostate biopsy and what was his psa at begining, if psa is consistently at this level you can continue calutide. Though, we used to prescribe calutide 50 mg once a day after orchidectomy. Did he have metastatic prostate cancer?
