Smoking is harmful and while direct effect is on the lungs (breathlessness, cough), over time it effects almost all organs of the body including the heart. It causes not only lung cancer but cancers of other organs as well. 2 Get out of the house for a walk.
3 Chew gum or hard candy.
4 Keep your hands busy with a pen or toothpick, or play a game.
5 Drink lots of water.
6 Relax with deep breathing.
7 Go to a movie.
8 Spend time with non-smoking friends and family
9 Do something else. When a craving hits, stop what you're doing immediately and switch to doing something different
