Using betnovate cream, that is potent steroid for long periods of time may result in skin damage, such as acne like bumps on skin, irritation, redness on sun exposure etc. You might need treatment according to the extent of skin damage. Hi, oral vitamin c is a good antioxidant. You can take it. If serums and creams haven't helped in the past, see a local dermatologist for proper assessment of the brown patch. It can be sun induced or post inflammatory, or just a normal brown patch. Treatment will depend on the cause. Kojic cream at night for 1 month and sunscreen during the day can be tried.
