You should breastfeed the baby as it also helps you to lose weight and builds child's immunity. Also to lose weight, have small meals instead of heavy meals, especially your dinner should be very light (1 chapati with vegetable, salads, curd / milk) and early dinner (8: 00 pm).Cut down on sweets, sugar, fried foods. Junk foods and high carbohydrate foods like roti, rice, pasta, pizza, burgers, potatoes. Have 2-3 servings of fruits & vegetables. Walk atleast for 30 minutes daily.

babycare is an exercise
if you want to go to gymn, do so only when baby is 6 months plus so that baby doesn't suffer neglected and mother is under no tension to feed the baby while doing exercises
by the way, the mothers who feed their babies shed pregnancy fat better than women who don't

Healing from the incision (in case of a vaginal delivery)
Cesarean birth healing (abdominal incisions)
Fatigue caused by the whole birthing process and pregnancy
Stress caused by the newly born baby (especially more so in case of triplets or twins)
Shifts in the hormonal level...more
