it depends on where in the brain he is having stroke and in general older the age slower is the recovery. And overall recovery is not predictable in any patient but looking at the scan one might presume the possible recovery.

For removing the extensive block in the coronary arteries either by pass surgery or stenting are the two main remedies. I am not aware of any medicine. May be that particular doctor might be referring to chelation treatment. If that is the case, then it is an untested metod. Thanks.
