I would suggest that you consult your doctor for this. However, aloe vera has a neuro-protective action. It has an anti paralytic action for stroke. There is no evidence if honey can be used in stroke patients. Please be careful about what you give to your father. Best would be that you speak with your treating physician and take a way forward. You need to stick to one treatment amd solve it all. In physiotherapy initially you are advised to do the electrotherapy and once pain subsides start the exercises to strengthen the paraspinal muscles and also do stretches to relax the pinched nerve. Even cupping therapy helps. The exercise regime has to be continued post treatment too inorder to keep your spine healtgy.
