Hello. Need your details regarding the investigations reports: usg finding after polypectomy, blood for cbc, tsh,lft and sugar. Usually hormonal therapy (progesterone) for few cycles after polypectomy is sufficient to resolve the problem.

My father (age 79 ) has recently undergone bypass heart surgery. A day before heart surgery, as he was complaining of blooding in stool, he was made to undergo colonoscopy and it was found that some polyps were there which needed to be removed. Some hemorrhoids (internal) were also found. Polyps were removed after polypectomy and bypass surgery was performed on the following day. However blooding in stool continued. Another colonoscopy has done to see the site of polypectomy. It was observed that there was no sign of blooding from that area and yellow stool was visible. They concluded that blooding was mainly due to internal hemorrhoids found in anus. Doctors have started treatment for the same by prescribing stool softener, laxitos, tablets and fiber supplements. However, HB level has reduced drastically, to 9.4 . Should we give him something for increasing the HB level. What is prescribed in this case.

Blood thinners are given during bypass surgery & reason of bleeding is not polyps which have been removed but the scar left is raw, it will take time to heal. One cannot stop blood thinners for few days after surgery, or may be later some people do take them for entire life. Do consult your surgeon who removed polyps, there are certain enzyme preparations which help in early healing of both wounds- heart and the site of polyps. To boost hb, give iron tonics, lots of proteins like toned milk, vit...more

As you have already received 4 cycles of clomiphene, next step in the treatment is iui which will go for 3 months cycle. You have mentioned that tubes are open (probably hsg report). Your laparoscopy was not done, which should have been combined with the hysteroscopy. Amh level can not increase. As your follicles are there and you r getting almost regular menses there should not be any issues with getting pregnant. But you need to continue treatment and ask for iui treatment in next cycle, to ge...more
