I am having prolonged periods for almost 2 months now. I have been diagnosed with pcod. Is there a way to stop this? What could be the reason behind this? First week of november, I started spotting every weekend only. In december that increased to 2-3 days per week. On 1 jan, I got my proper period flow. Jan 6 it ended but again by jan 9 I was passing clots and blood. There has been a break of 2-3 in between. Now feb 4, I got my period again. Suddenly the next day there was reduced bleeding but high bleeding since 6 and 7 feb.

I had ivf egg pick up on dec 13, 2023. I got my period on dec 17th. The ultrasound scan done on jan 13 showed corpus luteum and 2 cysts on right ovary. My left ovary was removed due to torsion in 2008. In order to plan for frozen embryo transfer the Dr. has put me on sysron-n 5 mg (2 tablets per day) from jan 13. When ultrasound scan was done on jan 22 it showed one cyst of 13 mm. Dr. has asked to continue sysron-n for 5 more days. Ultrasound scan done on jan 27 showed cyst of 14 mm. Dr. has asked to continue sysron-n for 10 more days. Ultrasound scan done on feb 6th showed the cyst size as 16 mm. What is causing the size of the cyst to increase instead of decreasing when sysron-n is being used? I was asked to stop sysron-n from feb 6th. Will the cyst dissolve during mensuration or will it further increase in size?

As I started m2 tone and hyponidd tablets for pcos, but I have noticed that I am feeling some side effects such as being full after eating small meal, and feeling to puke if not had something to eat after a hour of taking the medicines even if I have had my brkfst or dinner, so is it normal? And as I was having heavy bleeding the flow is reduced but not stopped fully, will it be normal after a course of 15 days or I need to give a visit to the doctor? As I am not taking any allopathy medication just m2 tone and hyponidd.

Are you currently menstruating or the periods have stopped. If they have stopped wait for the next period to come but if you are still bleeding then you need to visit a gynaecologist.

You can use vaginal dilators for a month , it will ease the pain, and don't have side effects, maintain proper hygiene.

After taking the high hormonal emergency pill one gets withdrawal bleeding 5 to 10 days later, and then a new cycle starts.- new counting.
Presence of withdrawal bleeding means no pregnancy by sex prior to it.
If this does not happen as well as the period is missed then do a pregnancy test.
No problem in taking.

It is not just volume, lot of other factors with whole picture important.
Pcod by itself does not cause gall stones but like other patients they may get.
