Then 18 to 24 months booster. Plus pulse polio doses which are extra whenever govt declared days.

Yes atleast 1 dose is advisable. If your give all 4 doses including at 6 week, 10 week ,14 week and 1.5 year age booster then it is ideal scenario.

Please specify what Raw foods you want to give your wife.
While polio is transmitted by contaminated water or food, if adequate care is taken to clean the raw food, there is no contraindication to eating it.

Polio, BCG and Hepatitis are all different vaccinations.
They should have mentioned it in your vaccination card whether its given. If you are still not sure better get another dose of the vaccination. There will no harm in giving extra dose even if it has been goven previously but do not miss vaccination.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user. The pulse polio is meant for herd immunity against polio. Your son would have received the required doses of poilo vaccine if his immunization schedule is up-to-date. Still giving pulse polio dose is also important as it gives herd immunity and helps the society/nation to remain polio free. Take care.

The idea of pulse polio is to give mass vaccination of inactivated polio virus as to get total immunity of the population called as" herd immunity" in mass immunisation programmes, in addition to protecting your baby you will help in achieving containment if wild polio virus by replacing it with inactivated virus from the polio drops. It's perfect, you have to go for Penta, one more time. Go for rotavirus vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine from private if not available at government hospital. Mmr 9 mt, typhoid conjugate vaccine at 10 mt, hepatitis A vaccine at one year of age.

Do not worry about past. Give opv as per immunization schedule, birth, 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 14 weeks, 16-24 months. In addition to above give drops whenever there is pulse polio programme. Up to 5 years of age.
