Did your surgeon tell you that it is a pilonidal sinus?
If it is, then that is the course of the treatment. Initial course of antibiotics, then after the infection subsides, we have to do imaging studies with a mri to understand the course of the sinus and if there is an underlying abscess.
Once this is understood, we can plan for sinus excision with z plasty surgery to minimise future recurrence.

Again the cost of laser is high.
If it is associated with abscess as mentioned by you. Laser surgery is not indicated as there is no tract available for ablation.

Your pilonidal sinus has recurred. It is a well known fact that in appox. 20% cases pilonidal sinus recurs after surgery (open surgery/ z-plasty or laser all have risks of recurrence) however, this problem can be conveniently treated by graded ksharsutra treatment.
