I noticed a lump on my anal edge in september 2019 and I thought it's normal pimple and I ignored that it'll go away own but it didn't almost 2 months and then I used coconut oil on it. It reduced in size but again. But appeared again and I used coconut oil again its just reducing in size not going away later in lockdown physical activities stopped then I felt itching there and used coconut oil again it helped me to get rid of itching but not that lump. After sometime I used glycerin to get rid iff it but didn't work. Then I went to a doctor she examined and she said this is fungal infection. And she gave me ofloxacin 200 tablets and dermikem oc max ointment to apply there. I used it for 15-20 days but didn't work but that lump was getting bigger that ofloaxin 200 tablets caused me (extreme headache, dizziness, constipation and body pain ). Then I consulted another doctor and she examined and said it's external piles and she gave me anovate ointment to apply and pilon and metrogyl 400 tablets. And asked me to come after 5 days. When I went she gave me cefixime tablets. Twice a day also have sits bath twice a day. And after two days my piles got worst I consulted her again and she said may be I eat some hot thing like garlic onion or ginger but I eat it usually it never got this worst and painful. Before having medicines I never experienced pain there and then she prescribed me pile tablets of himalaya for 30 days and a cream name smuth to apply thereafter having sits bath and a pain killer if I feel pain it's been 5 days that worst blood clot swelling isn't going away. Please help me to know about it better and what to do further. A ointmentton.

You definitely have a hemorrhoid. It will hurt even more if you are constipated and when you strain while defecating. Hence try to increase the fiber in your diet and you can also use isabgol powder if you have constipation. Avoid breads and maida based products as they increase constipation. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet. The pain will automatically reduce when the clot dissolves which takes a minimum of two weeks provided there is no strain. Continue sitz bath and smuth cream as prescribed. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a like. Thank you.

Hello Lybrate user, pilon is an ayurvedic medicine which we usually don't prescribe. First of all if you have piles, may it be internal or external, we usually apply proctosidyl ointment 3 times a day after sitz bath 3 times a day and definitely before going to sleep at night. Along with it, you have to take a stool softener. But many times, people may not have piles at all, but due to chronic constipation, they develop fiasure/ cracks in the anal region which on healing forms a tag which many present as piles. So best would be to visit your general surgeon and have it examined and seek either surgical / medical management based on the severity.

Agar bleeding hai maldwar pe toh ye piles ho sakte hain jo ki nason ki sujan hoti hai jisme kabji hone oar khoon girta hai piles agar hain toh apne aas paas koi surgeon ko dikha lo aur dawai lena shuru kar do jisse ye badhe nahi mujhse online consultation bhi kar sakte ho aap.

The mainstay of treatment is to avoid straining. Diet has to be modified and lifestyle changes have to be made. Why don't we have a call regarding all this so a proper plan can be laid out with dietary and lifestyle changes and restrictions? Please feel free to consult with me regarding this.

Piles - Have Homeopathy For It!

Piles or Haemorrhoids is a disease of the anal canal. The veins in this region get affected. They swell as blood stagnates inside them. This causes discomfort while passing stool. The most obvious symptoms of piles are bleeding and pain at the time of excretion or passing of the stool. For most of the patients with piles, sitting or standing becomes a tedious task.

What causes piles?
The primary reason for the occurrence of piles is a patient’s sedentary lifestyle. Most of it also depends on his or her diet intake. Many of us consume a lot of carbohydrates, fats and proteins in our regular meals. But, we forget or are simply reluctant to take up physical exercises. This, in turn, leads to an increase in body weight and hampers the activity of our digestive system. As a result, patients develop diseases like piles.
Diet plays a vital role in preventing piles. If we don’t add an adequate amount of fiber or roughage to our diet, there is a potential threat of developing piles. Fibers help with the convenient evacuation of the stool. In fact, fibers form the bulk of the stool. Besides, insufficient intake of water may also cause this disease.

Natural ways to tackle Piles
Piles can be managed or tackled by bringing in some changes in our lifestyle. Some of the ways of managing piles have been listed below:

  1. Add more roughage and fruits to your diet
  2. Exercise regularly
  3. Avoid laxatives
  4. Sit in a tub of hot water to get relief from the pain
  5. Drink plenty of water

Homeopathic treatment for Piles
When it comes to the treatment of piles, Homeopathy is quite safe and an effective method to get rid of the problem. It doesn’t have any side effect on the patient’s health. It doesn’t include any painful surgery for the removal of piles. Moreover, homeopathy is budget-friendly. Here are some effective homeopathic medicines, useful in curing piles:

  1. Homeopathic medicines are useful in stopping the bleeding in piles. They can cure any venous congestion and bleeding. They can also be taken when the patient develops a feeling of soreness.
  2. Homeopathic medicines give relief from the pain due to piles. A patient suffering from piles feels immense pain and a burning sensation at the time of stool evacuation and even for hours after that.
  3. Homeopathic medicines are prescribed to a patient suffering from both constipation and piles. It is given to them who are obese, have skin eruptions and constipation.
  4. Homeopathic medicines are given to patients who have a sedentary lifestyle, take spicy food and are active smokers and alcohol drinkers. Homeopathic medicines cure piles as well as digestive disorders.

Piles - How To Get Rid Of It?

Are you feeling an excruciating pain in the anal region? Is there a lump around the area that you can feel? Commonly called Piles, hemorrhoids, is a phenomenon where the blood vessels are inflamed or expanded in the anal canal. Veins in and around the anus and rectum are comparatively weak than the arteries which are quiet intense. This is because the walls of the veins are pretty thin and pain or discomfort arises when there is too much pressure on the walls. There are two kinds of Piles the internal piles and the external piles; the discomfort and severity depend on the kind of piles you are suffering from.

Causes behind it
The causes of hemorrhoids are not certain and anyone can get affected by the condition. It is more prevalent in elderly people and pregnant women. Sometimes, the condition is also hereditary, so if your parents or grandparents suffered from piles, there is a possibility that you may develop it too. When the veins in the anal region are subjected to pressure, the veins swell causing painful hemorrhoids.

The common symptoms associated with the condition are:
- Bleeding from the anus
- Painful lump or swell near the anus
- Anal itching
- Tenderness or pain during bowel movements
- Mucus Anal discharge

Treatment options for piles
In few cases, the Hemorrhoids can be treated with home remedies like a change in diet, warm sitz baths, and avoiding foods that may lead to constipation. For hemorrhoids of the first, second and third-degree, medications, home remedies and manual methods are preferred approaches. However, when the condition persists for an extended period with severe pain it is best to consider your physician.

The piles can be treated with:
- Injection or sclerotherapy: Treats internal hemorrhoids
- Banding: Treatment for prolapsed hemorrhoids
- Coagulation: Treatment using laser
- Surgery: Opted for in severe cases of hemorrhoids

Surgery is suggested when no other remedies for piles have responded. In the case of prolapsed hemorrhoids, or the fourth degree and higher degree, surgical methods need to be implemented. In common, surgery is deemed as the last option for piles treatment. Piles surgery is prescribed particularly by the surgeons in the situation where pain becomes unbearable.

The surgical treatments
Hemorrhoidectomy: This is the surgery done to remove piles. The physician performs a few minute cuts around the anus to remove them away. The area which is under operation is put under local or general anesthesia. Hemorrhoidectomy is often a procedure for the outpatient case, and you are typically discharged on the same day itself. The patient usually takes about two to three weeks, to recover fully but then it can even take as long as five to six weeks to get back to normal pain-free life again.
PPHAnother surgical method is PPH. It is also known as stapled hemorrhoidectomy. In this surgery, the physician uses a device which looks like a stapler to reposition the pile and struck off their supply of blood so that they eventually shrink and die out. This surgical procedure is less painful than traditional hemorrhoidectomy as it removes hemorrhoid to where there are fewer nerve endings, so it hurts less. There will be faster recovery, few or no complications, minor itching, and bleeding.
