Perforate ear drum of long standing show poor success even on reconstruction surgery.
Recent ones have some good scope of achieving success in improving hearing.

Warm welcome to Lybrate.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly.* Can keep it under observation for further 2 - 3 months for chance of spontaneous closure with taking care of not to get infected.* If by that time it is not healed then decide for the surgery. Hope this will help you for sure. Regards.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
A perforated or burst eardrum is a hole in the eardrum. It'll usually heal within a few weeks and might not need any treatment. But it's a good idea to see a gp if you think your eardrum has burst, as it can cause problems such as ear infections.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hi, Lybrate user, You can consult an ENT doctor, who would tell you the status of tympanic membrane. You may have to go for Audiometry Test also. Thanks.

Sub total tympanic membrane perforation may cause conductive or mixed hearing loss in long term depending on the damage. Get audiometry done to know degree and type of hearing loss to understand if it is hearing impairment.
