Hello Lybrate user. Antibiotics won't cause gingival recession. There are many reasons for gingival recession like dental caries, age, periodontal problem, calculus. I advice you to take an orthopantamogram and verify the condition of dental caries and follow up with restoration or root canal treatment. Then do scaling. The gingival recession will stop and further recession will be prevented. Consult me for further details. Thanks you.

Smoking is always bad for your health and never recommended by any doctor. It always has bad effect on your health especially the airways which corona virus also effects that same. In my opinion you should refrain from smoking and live a good life. If you are not interested in living then you can smoke as many times as you want. It's not a doctor's advise, but just your choice.. Hope this helps..
