Simple answer is No. Syndopa has very short effective concentration in blood & hence as soon as it's blood levels begin to decrease, thereby decreasing it's brain levels, your mother starts getting movement related difficulties If you feel she is not getting optimal treatment, discuss with your doctor about other effective medicines like Ropinirole, pramirole etc to increase efficiency of Syndopa combination. But don't change time of medication administration.

Dear Shanta,
At this ripe age, your mother needs physiotherapy more than any diagnosis and treatment. Try and reduce your or any other caretakers burden. You can plan for a home nursing aid to help you out of burn out. There are many old age aids in the market like special beds, commodes and walkers. Try out the ones those will be useful.

Dear lybrate-user,
It is better to evaluate her for parkinson or other conditions causing these involuntary movements.
It may be due to Divaa od also. In that case the psychiatrist will change her mood stabiliser. Usually the psychiatrist himself may be able to assess her since psychiatrists are trained in neurology and they know Divaa od's side effects. Rarely she/he may take a neurologist opinion.

Dear lybrate-user, Excessive saliva is a common problem in parkinsons disease. There are medications available for the same. However, medications will reduce the saliva in the mouth making it dry and difficult to chew and swallow food which needs moist environment in the mouth. I suggest you to have a check on her posture, swallowing frequency. Ask her to swallow saliva as much as possible. Use slight inclined position while she is seated.
