The good news is that acute kidney failure can often be reversed. The kidneys usually start working again within several weeks to months after the underlying cause has been treated. Dialysis is needed until then.

Yes, you can change it. Every brand may have different bioavailability of drug therefor you need to check tac levels a bit frequently in early period of change to adjust the drug dosing.

You can change brand but this may lead to lower blood levels of tacrolimus and may cause rejection. So consult your transplant nephrologist and adjust dose as per tacrolimus levels. There after you can continue with that brand.
