Hello. Lybrate user. After cleft lip and palate surgery, there are procedures like speak therapy to guide speaking normally. It will gradually get normal. Cleft palate is a genetic condition and developmental disorder. It is not compulsory to affect the unborn child. I advice you to consult a general physician regarding, cleft lip of mom and child. Hello Lybrate user. I advice you to consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon regarding shape of the lip. The scars can be treated without surgery. But shape alignment has to be treated with surgery. Thank you.
