Is there any way to tell if my overbite is skeletal or dental? It would be really helpful if someone can tell me a way to identify whether my overbite is skeletal or dental. Like normally when my mouth is at rest. I do not have any overbite but when I do clench my teeth there is overbite. Moreover at rest my molars (up and down molars) do not touch each other. I mean there is a gap between my upper and lower set of molars at rest. This gap causes a overbite when I clench my teeth. So from this can anyone tell if my overbite is skeletal or dental?

You can get a lateral cephalogram x-ray done for judgement. Of whether the bite is skeletal or dental

U definetly require braces treatment for your overbite correction. Fixing braces on top of crown is not a prob as different bonding methods r available to bond on crown. Invisalign technique helps conceal your braces but regular ones r much better in controlling all kinds of teeth movement.

There is certainly a way to avoid it, that is maintenance of oral hygiene. Brush twice daily, keep your teeth clean and visit your dentist at least every six months. In case the situation has already progressed, there are certain methods to treat the same. Most common way being periodontal surgery. Medicines are temporary relief .you need to go to a dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment. You can give him ketorol dt single tablet in case of pain and emergency .but you can't rely on medicines and they can't be taken time and again due to several reasons. Taking all precautions, brushing two time and taking all oral hygiene but still the cavity is spreading in whole teeth, it not in one or two teeth slowly it's spreading and affecting more teeth, what toothpaste can use in this can so it can be cure, filling in all teeth is not possible, dentist said wait it's in initial stage, can't wait for whole mouth teeth damaged stage, so that's why I am asking if any toothpaste can help to cure it or help not spreading in whole teeth.

It is not possible to cure cavities. Bt yes you can take precautions of your oral health to do not let it grow. Using flouride containing toothpaste, use mouthwash, rinse mouth after every meal. Brush nd mouthwash twice daily. And if cavity is slight deep get it filled so food don't get lodged in the cavity.
