I am suffering from back pain and neck pain from past 3-4 months. Intensity varies from low to high. On recommendation of family physician I had done xray of cervical spine. Below is summary of result: Partial loss of normal lordosis. Marginal osteophytes are noted. Vertebrae appear normal in shape, size and contour. Alignment is proper. Intervertebral joint spaces appear unremarkable. Spinal canal is within normal limits. Posterior elements appear unremarkable. Please correlate clinically. Normal lordosis is maintained. Multilevel marginal osteophytes are noted. Cortical margin accentuation and central compression are noted at multiple levels. Alignment is proper. L5-S1 disc space appears reduced. Intervertebral joint spaces elsewhere appear unremarkable. Spinal canal is within normal limits. Posterior elements appear unremarkable. IMPRESSION: Osteodegenerative changes with osteoporosis. Please help me to understand the problem and advice treatment Accordingly.

This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression.
