rice stands for rest, ice, compression, and elevation.
Rest. Avoid putting weight on the painful knee.
Ice. Use cold packs for 20 minutes at a time, several times a day. Do not apply ice directly on skin.
Compression. To prevent additional swelling, lightly wrap the knee in an elastic bandage, leaving a hole in the area of the kneecap. Make sure that the bandage fits snugly and does not cause additional pain.
Elevation. As often as possible, rest with your kne...more

My right knee is swollen and it got fluid inside it. It's been 4 months when I first consulted with a doctor, took his medicines for 2 and half months but nothing got better, then I consulted another doctor and he prescribed me some test like hla b27 and it's negative, got vitamin b12 deficiency it's 190. He's also unable to tell what's the exact problem, currently in prayagraj and done with my mri and the results are nothing it's just my knee is swollen and that's why it's filled with the fluid. The second doctor took the water outside from my knee 2 times in a day (64 ml and 32 ml ), with the help of an injection, the problematic fact is that as soon the doctor took the fluid out, it got filled within just 10 mins. The third doctor also did the same yesterday in pryagraj after watching my mri results but nothing helped, the condition is getting worse. I got maybe every test reports a doctor needs and I just want the right medication, please help.

You need to use finger splint as a method of skin traction (the most effective method for jammed fingers). No need to take painkillers, it will subside itself. For getting back the sensation you need to opt for some ayurvedic neuropromotive remedies. You may consult me privately or whatsapp on mobile for a proper ayurvedic consultation.

You may still be experiencing some residual issues related to your meniscus tear, even though you have recovered from the initial injury. The specific symptoms you described, such as pain when bending the knee while sitting and needing to tighten your calf to feel the pain, suggest that there may be ongoing irritation or inflammation in the knee joint.
One possibility is that you could be experiencing a condition called "meniscal irritation" or "meniscal impingement. This occurs when the tor...more

Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Stiffness might have developed due to weakness of the ligaments &inflammed cartilage. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee. You need to consume good protein and iro...more

Hi lybrate user ,The most common causes include injury, arthritis and normal wear and tear. Depending on the cause, you may feel pain or stiffness anywhere around the ankle. Your ankle may also swell, and you may not be able to put any weight on it. Usually, ankle pain gets better with rest, ice and over-the-counter pain medications.

thanks and regards
