The keratin formed on the top of our tongues is knocked off and swallowed when we eat our meals. Normally the amount of keratin produced is equal to the amount knocked off, and our tongues appear normal. Sometimes this balance is upset, however, and the condition called “coated tongue” results. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Avoid drinking anything hot. You may need coronoplasty (smoothening of teeth edges). Hexigel ointment can be applied over the ulcerative area on the tongue. T. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one night for 5 days, along with c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. Hello, I would like to say that this is normal while putting tongue out of mouth there will be slight tremor as muscles helping the tongue to come out gets stretched and it gets overtensed and causes slight shaking like feel. Nothing much to be worried in that. Thank you.
