Skin Care Tips For Men's!

Skin care tips for men

Daily shaving can take a serious toll on a man's skin-especially when you factor in the drying effects of winter weather. Check out our expert’s advice on how to keep your skin healthy, clean and moisturized.

  1. Cleanse your skin - For most men, skin tends to get oily throughout the day in certain areas, even in winter. Excess oil can stick to the skin and block the pores, preventing your razor from gliding along the skin smoothly. So before you shave, wash your face with water and facial soap to make sure there are no blockages.
  2. Get ready for shaving - Before you pull out the razor, Dr. Sharad suggests splashing your face with warm water after you cleanse it, which will open up the pores. Then apply a light layer of pre-shaving cream, gel or mousse to keep the skin moist and warm. The smoother the skin, the closer the shave.
  3. Multitask for a better shave - Another way to simplify shaving is to do it in the shower. Not only is it a time-saver, the humidity of your shower will keep your skin moist and your pores open and even make the hair softer and easier to remove
  4. Follow your hair growth - According to Dr. Sharad, the popular belief that shaving against the direction of hair growth is better is not necessarily true. Shaving in this way can actually cause irritation and can also damage the hair. For a more comfortable shave, move in the same direction as the growth of the hair.
  5. Choose the right razor - Razors can be single- or multi-blade. If you like to spend as little time as possible shaving, you can go for a razor with three or five blades. The important thing to remember is that you should be comfortable with your razor and not apply too much pressure, as this can cause irritation.
  6. Take your time - Skin gets damaged more easily if you make swift movements with your razor or apply your creams too quickly. Give yourself enough time to shave in the morning and allow a few minutes between washing, applying pre-shaving cream and shaving.
  7. Use moisturizer day and night - Applying moisturizing cream to your skin day and night will keep it hydrated, allowing for a smoother shave. Moisturizing will also help prevent cuts and irritation. Look for moisturizers with natural hydrating ingredients like vitamin e, shea butter or essential oils.

1. Wash face regularly --washing regularly can reduce the amount of oil on the skin. Wash with a gentle soap and warm water 2. Use a toner--astringent toners that contain alcohol tend to dry out the skin. U should test out any new toner on a small patch of skin to avoid potential irritation. 3. Pat the face dry--when drying the face after washing and using toner, people should gently pat their skin dry with a soft towel. This should be done with care, however. Pulling down on the skin with a towel, or using a rough washcloth, is not advised, as it may stimulate the skin to create more sebum. 4. Use blotting papers-- blotting papers will not treat the sebum production in the skin, but they can be used to lift excess oil off the skin throughout the day to make it appear less shiny. 5. You can apply aloe vera juice/gel from its leaf (fresh), not from ready made gels available in market. Remove skin of an aloe vera leaf. Take /scoop out gel. Apply this gel to your skin. Wash with plain water after an hour. Also stay hydrated, avoid greasy foods and trans fats, and to eat a well-rounded diet full of whole foods.

To prevent pimples, eat fresh fruits, green vegetables, drinking plenty of water should be an essential part of your routine and intake of oily fried foods, an excess of sugar-salt should be avoided. Don't peal pimples, as they tend to leave scars. Stop using soap on face. Instead take a spoon of milk, add a pinch of turmeric (haldi). Mix n apply on face with the help of cotton. Leave for a few minutes then wash off. Apply moisturizer like coconut oil. For swollen pimples, gently apply ice for a minute or so. Just don't keep the ice on so long that it irritates your skin. Tea tree oil can kill bacteria. Some people use it to treat minor skin irritations, including acne. There isn't much research on how effective it is, but tea tree oil is safe to put directly on your skin in a diluted form. Try it on a small area first to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction. Simple honey maskbefore applying this mask, rinse your face with warm water to open up pores. Then apply honey and leave it on the skin for 30 minutes. Rinse the honey off with warm water; then rinse again with cold water to close the pores. Yeast and yogurt mask for oily skin oily skin is prone to acne, and this home remedy can reduce excess oil and help clear acne. To make the mask, combine 1 teaspoon of brewer's yeast with a little plain yogurt to create a thin mixture. Apply it thoroughly to all the oily areas and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water; then use cold water to close the pores. For permanent cure you need constitutional medicines, for that I need detailed case history.

My skin is oily nd I have dark spots of pimple and small pimple also can I use melaglow cream.

My skin is oily nd I have dark spots of pimple and small pimple also can I use melaglow cream.
Hello hope you are doing well 1) oily skin is more prone to acne breakouts as compared to other skin types due to an increased sebum production that clogs the pores leading to break outs. So inorder to maintain a healthy skin, you need to balance out sebum on your face. 2) for post acne marks, there are many skin lightening agents such as kojic acid / glycolic acid / acelaic acid that can be used long term with a good safety profile. These ointments should be applied only at night because it makes skin more photosensitive and also daytime application of sunscreen of spf not less than 50 is mandatory. You can use melaglow, as it contains few natural lightening agents, though the above mentioned ingredients would be better any skin hyperpigmentation would take about 4-6 months to revert back, so please do not panic. 3) also follow these simple measures- - do not pick on your acne as it lead to scarring which could be deep and permanent -do touch your face with unclean hands - do not scrub you face -avoid cosmetic products unless the present flare-up subsides -apply a sunscreen with spf not less than 50 - relax yourself, and make yourself stress free ,as stress is a big contributing factor. -avoid oily food, junk food, dairy products ,egg yolk, fatty and too spicy foods. 4) also take care and be aware about few of the reasons that causes these acne lesions - high consumption of dairy products - cola, caffienated drinks, aerated drinks, high sugary foods - high humidity - over application of moisturizers and creams clogging the pores - excessive sebum secretion inherently. - picking/ squeezing acne, abrasive washing or frequent scrubbing for acne specific treatment kindly send a photo of the lesions so that I can guide you according to the severity. Hope your query is cleared thank you stay safe.
