Hydroquinone itself causes skin pigmentation if used over the counter for prolonged time. That's why it is wise to consult dermatologist before you apply anything on skin. Now that the damage is done. Give a break. U can use good sunscreen and moisturizer alone for 1 month. Then gradually add safe depigmenting creams.

You may stop using the cream for a couple of weeks and see if the white patches improve. If they are persistent, it would be best to consult a dermatologist to evaluate whether the patches have appeared as a result of using the cream or the underlying cause is something else altogether.
