I'm really sorry to hear that you're experiencing these difficulties with your heartbeats and the impact they're having on your sleep and overall mental health. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious and concerned about your health, particularly given your history of health anxiety and ocd.
Based on what you've shared, it seems like there are several factors contributing to your current state of distress. It's positive to hear that you've already sought medical attention and had tes...more

Hi please do not change dosage or stop medicines at will. If you are uncomfortable and feeling any side effects consult your psychiatrist immediately and apprise him of your situation. He will change the medicine or dosage. Take therapy along with medicines. Consistent therapy along with medicines is needed to help you cope with ocd symptoms. Medicines only help control symptoms temporarily, while therapy gives more sustainable results. Take therapy regularly and apply what you learn in therapy ...more

Ketamine can help as an antidepressant and it's effects are very short lived. You can consider changing the combination of medications for you feel your OCD symptoms aren't under control. Remember OCD is a long term probably life time condition. Good luck.

Dear Deepak,
Amitriptyline takes 2-3 weeks to start its action. It works only at a particular dose that will be built every 2-3 weeks by your doctor. If you still don't respond, the doctor will shift to more effective drug. You don't need clonazepam at this young age of 21 years.

The usual dose of clonil for management of ocd is 50 to 100 mg. We usually start with a low dose, and gradually increase it depending on the response. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist as you might need to up the dose of clonil. Feel free to contact for any further help.

Perhaps I have to repeat myself: don't ever self-medicate. These doses that you are taking and changing frequently must be approved or prescribed by the psychiatrist for your own safety and to gain the full benefits of the medicines. Clonil is an excellent prescription but you must adhere to the doctor's prescription. Ocd is a fear-based condition and for some reason, you have not been dealing with a childhood fear which has now developed into these repetitive adaptations to seem to need it for ...more

Hi. It seems like there is trauma from your father's death that hasn't been processed. Thepray can give you a safe space to work towards resolving your concerns and make progress towards a healthier future. Please consult with your psychiatrist as your symptoms are not in remission. Stopping with them can exacerbate your thoughts and mood.

Fluoxetine shows it's effect at different doses in different individuals. One need to start at 20 mg per day, after breakfast, increase to 40 mg after 2 weeks. If needed, you can further increase by 20 mg every week, maximum up to 80 mg per day.
