I am studying at canada. I had been to india for a couple of months recently where I was diagnosed with ocpd. I was prescribed nexito plus initially & after a couple of weeks doctor advised to switch over to nexito 5 mg. Things were more or less in control with the prescribed medicines in india. Now, I am back to canada & still having the medicines. I have increased my physical activity for my improvement but I am finding the panic attack once again returning back. The heart beat also turns rapid at that time. I am unable to understand why it is relapsing once again. I don't have much study pressure right. Can you please tell what might be the underlying cause of the same & what is the remedy.

You may have had symptoms at an earlier time in your life. Ocpd is a fear-based disorder and if the fear is not identified and dealt with in therapy, you could continue to suffer. I suggest that you seek the help of a counselor too. OCD can be treated with exposure and response prevention (ERP) if it is mild without depression. SSRI has side effects like every other drug. It needs to be continued for many months, may be two years or so

For last 1 year he is also on medication for high bp and also experiencing constipation .since last 1 week his constipation has become severe bp is rising and most importantly he is going through memory lost and also not responding much to conversations. Hello all doctors. I am having ocd since 10 years after my mother was diagnosed with cancer n eventually she died. I struggled for 6 years for the right medication but I could not get relief. In 2019 I found a doctor to suggested me clonil 75 sr once at night after consuming till now the brain jammed feeling has gone away but still when I try to reduce the dose or trt to stop it the ocd issue occurs. Would I ever get rid to this pathetic disorder or only the death will ease my pain completely.?

Dear sir/madam am talking amisulpride 200 (0-0-1) and zeedon 2 mg (risperidone) 0-0-1 for more than 6 years. There has been no episode in between these years. There is no symptoms or irrational thoughts. I am branch manager in a bank. I do all the work and feel better. Should I talk to my doctor to reduce dosage now, if there is no symptoms for six years, does it render essentially of decreased dosages or eventually end it? Would I be able to abandon drugs. How many years medication prolongs in such cases. Kindly guide.

I was suffering from bipolar disorder + ocd since 2008. After 13 years doctors diagnose and it was bipolar disorder. These 13 years I lost my shop 1 crore 2 times divorced maar pit karna I took loan without any reason I sold my house my bipolar is still not in control from last 15 days I feeling control but bipolar has my life work it triggers my mind so doctors are giving divalproxin and lametec also what should I do sir, but now my ocd is in full control ,can lithium work with lametec. Yes you will become better eventually. Fluoxetine is a good medication for ocd but it may take few months to a year also. Please consult your psychiatrist regularly and adhere to treatment.
