You can use it no problem but as a dietitian, I don't suggest those things my suggestion is to use jaggery which is natural and has good calcium and trace minerals in it.

Yes, it can be given. Do not worry about the food. For more information read about healthy food (balanced diet) for pregnancy from the internet. Choose more natural or organic foods and avoid junk food/ sodas etc. Always go for regular health check up so that the doctor can assess the health of both the mother and the growing baby. Do the necessary tests from time to time and take the suppliments as suggested. You can also discuss about any of your concerns with the doctor and get it cleared.
