Restrict protein intake especially animal protein if consumed in excess. Take sufficient fluids if you are dehydrated from any cause.
Repeat blood urea level (normal- 7-20 mg/dl) along with serum creatinine and egfr to rule out decrease in kidney function from any cause especially if there is weakness, fluid retention etc. If more, consult a physician.

First and foremost is she should achieve a strict blood glucose control with FBG <100 mg, PP 160 to 180 mg & HbA1c%<7. If this is not achieved then excess loss of glucose through urine itself can lead to weakness and tired feeling.
