If you are talking about ondansateron yes you can take it for stopping vomiting. Though other medicines could also be used like perinorm, etc. It has best results in stopping vomiting hence used widely.

You should brush your teeth before going to bed daily at night
do not go to bed immediately after dinner.
Do not take heavy meals in dinner and no cold drinks or fast foods
in the day take atleast a fruit with your meals
if this does you better than its ok -- continue with this
take a dose of nux vom 200 once daily at night before retiring.
